O is for Oggie Boogie #AtoZChallenge

For the A to Z Challenge, I have chosen the theme of antagonists.

On my normal blogging days, Monday – parenting and Thursday – writing/publishing, I will tie that day’s topic to antagonists but on the other days (Tuesday, Friday and Saturday), I will write about antagonists from movies, TVs or books. On Wednesdays, my Quote of the Week will be from an antagonist that matches the letter of the day. Enjoy.

O is for Oggie Boogie, the villainous bogeyman of Halloween Town and the main antagonist in Tim Burton’s film The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993).

Oggie Boogie resembles a large burlap sack. Unlike the other inhabitants of Halloween Town who seem to just enjoy scaring people, Oggie appears truly evil (after all he kidnaps Santa Claus). He is sadistic and power hungry and lives underground in a lair full of torture devices.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my favorite movies. Check out Oggie Boogie’s own villainous song.
