H is for Haku #AtoZChallenge

For this year’s A to Z Challenge, I have chosen the theme of dragons as characters. Whether they appear in film, TV, cartoons or literature, these dragons may be the star of the show or just a supporting character.

H is for Haku, the white dragon in 2001’s animated film Spirited Away.

Haku originally appears as a young boy, but he is a river spirt who can take the form of a white Asian dragon, whose long body is flowing and graceful like a river. His river has been paved over so he is now a lost spirit who entered the spirit world to learn magic and has forgotten who he is (thus appearing in the form of boy rather than his true self). Haku appears powerful at times and weak at others. In both his human and dragon form, Haku can fly.

If you missed previous entries:

A is for Aura

B is for Blazey

C is for Canth

D is for Draco

E is for Elliott

F is for Fafnir

G is for Gwythaints
