V is for Victoria #AtoZChallenge

For this year’s A to Z Challenge, I have chosen the theme of cats as characters. Whether they appear in film, TV, cartoons or literature, these felines may be the star of the show or just a supporting character.

If you are here looking for my typical Monday post on a parenting topic, I will go back to my regular schedule in May. Until then, enjoy the A to Z Challenge…

V is for Victoria, one of the principal cats from the 1981 musical CATS, written by Andrew Lloyd Webber which is based on T.S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats.  Victoria is also known as the White Cat. She is a quiet cat known for her beauty and poise. She does not sing in the musical but is featured in many of the dances.

Victoria is an innocent kitten at the beginning of the play. She grows and matures throughout the musical and is in fact one of the lead dancers.
