L is for Lucifer #AtoZchallenge

For this year’s A to Z Challenge, I have chosen the theme of cats as characters. Whether they appear in film, TV, cartoons or literature, these felines may be the star of the show or just a supporting character.

If you are here looking for my typical Wednesday Quote of the Week, I will go back to my regular schedule in May. Until then, enjoy the A to Z Challenge…

L is for Lucifer, the stepmother’s cat in the 1950 Disney animated film Cinderella. This antagonist is covered in black fur and is depicted as a sly, wicked, and manipulative mouse consumer. Lucifer would like nothing better than to eat the mice that help Cinderella and because she saves them, Lucifer delights in making her chores harder.

While designed for comic relief, Lucifer spends most of his time doing very cat-like things such as causing destruction and chasing mice. He is clever and cunning. His only loyalty lies with Lady Tremaine who treats him like royalty. He even dislikes Cinderella’s stepsisters. What a disagreeable cat.

In case you missed out…

A is for the Aristocats

B is for Binx

C is for Cheshire Cat

D is for DC

E is for Elsa

F is for Felix

G is for Garfield

H is for Heathcliff

I is for Isis

K is for Keanu
