N is for Nancy Clancy #AtoZChallenge

For the A to Z Challenge, I have chosen the theme of characters. On my normal blogging days, Monday – parenting, Wednesday – quotes, and Thursday – writing/publishing, I will focus on characteristics. On the other days (Tuesday, Friday and Saturday), I will write about characters from movies, TVs or books.

NToday the letter is N for Nancy Clancy, the main character from the Fancy Nancy and Nancy Clancy series of books by Jane O’Connor.

Nancy ClancyNancy is a young girl with a larger than life personality who adores all things fancy. She dresses extravagantly and loves using big fancy words as well as French words. She is smart, funny, honest and tries her best to do the right thing.

If you have little girls, the Fancy Nancy children’s books are a must reads. My daughter loved them and now at the age of 8 is reading the Nancy Clancy chapter books.

There are currently 65 Fancy Nancy books and 6 Nancy Clancy books with an animated series in the works.
