Welcome to the first day of the A to Z Challenge, I am sticking with my normal topics for posting but keeping up with the letter of the day. On the first Wednesday of each month, I share a recipe. Today is A which is for Apple Pie – Swedish Apple Pie to be exact.
I received this recipe from my mom. With no bottom crust and a simple pour over topping, it is probably more like an apple cobbler than a pie. (Heck, I like that I don’t have to roll out any pie crusts). No matter what you call it, it is delicious and easy to make!
Ingredients
Sliced Apples (about 3 Granny Smith)
1 T. cinnamon
2 T. sugar
3/4 cup of melted butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup flour
pinch of salt
Directions
Fill pie pan about 2/3 to 3/4 full of sliced apples. Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over apples. In a bowl mix the melted butter, sugar, egg, flour and salt. Spread mixture over apples. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
Looking for another pie recipe? Try Oreo pie.
